Attendance operations

Construction attendance software for site crews

Connect jobsite check-in evidence to timesheet review and payroll exports, including remote-site capture and reasoned corrections.

Start with the gate, finish with a reviewable work date

Construction attendance crosses changing sites, temporary entrances and unreliable connectivity. Attendify records personal-device check-ins with selfie and location evidence, then brings accepted events into an administrative view. Timesheets and corrections give the site office a way to resolve the gaps before payroll preparation.

The buyer is usually the contractor’s operations, HR or payroll team. The useful question is not simply whether an app records GPS. It is whether supervisors can explain a missing checkout and whether payroll can identify the hours excluded from an export.

Example: a crew moves to a new project

Prepare the new site and its boundary before induction. Import or update workers using their customer employee IDs, inspect changed assignments and confirm payroll IDs. At the site, test a real check-in at the actual entrance rather than assuming a map pin covers it.

If a worker later saves checkout offline, the site dashboard may remain incomplete until synchronization. A rejection needs follow-up, not an automatic full-day assumption. A permitted supervisor can request a reasoned correction; the company can require approval before it is applied.

Keep attendance and job costing distinct

Reviewed hours can feed a job-costing or payroll process. Attendify does not calculate construction contract valuations, loaded labor costs, certified payroll, trade classifications or automatic cost-code allocation. A site name in an export still needs mapping to the receiver’s valid project or order.

For subcontractors, agree collection purposes and data responsibilities. Recorded attendance is not a substitute for contract administration, certified work or emergency muster.

A useful construction pilot

Select one representative site and test a normal shift, no internet, poor GPS, a missed checkout and a worker reassignment. Review the import diff, daily exception list and resulting export together with payroll. If a shared tablet is needed, confirm controlled kiosk availability and connectivity first.

Cut over when the evidence reconciles and supervisors know the exception path—not because a generic launch calendar says the crew should be ready.
