Attendance for depot and warehouse teams

Review depot and warehouse shifts across local work dates, with personal-device capture, controlled kiosk options and payroll-oriented exports.

Keep the attendance question separate from fleet operations

Depots and warehouses bring different worker groups through the same location: shift teams, temporary staff and employees beginning or ending a field assignment. Attendify records site attendance events and connects them to schedules, exceptions and reviewed export hours.

It does not provide route tracking, delivery proof, fleet telematics or driver hours-of-service compliance. A driver checking in at a depot is an attendance event, not a complete driving-duty record.

Example: a warehouse shift crosses midnight

An overnight warehouse team starts on one date and finishes on the next. The configured shift window allows related events to belong to the starting work date. Missing checkouts remain exceptions instead of becoming automatic eight-hour shifts.

If a supervisor supplies a supported correction, the reason is recorded separately from the captured event. Payroll reviews the resulting hours and exclusions before mapping employee identifiers into its receiving system.

Prepare for changes in the roster

Temporary or seasonal workers need stable employee identifiers. Review an import preview before applying changes, especially when a returning worker already exists or a payroll ID is missing. An imported row without a usable site assignment is not ready for the normal attendance flow.

For a fixed entry point, a shared kiosk may be relevant. It requires connectivity and controlled enablement; it should not be assumed to keep identifying people during an outage. Personal-device offline capture has a different lifecycle and different setup needs.

Test the operating conditions

Run a pilot at the actual shift-change time. Check lighting, location readings, network reliability, queueing and the path for a failed capture. Include an overnight record, a missing payroll ID and a correction in the export review.

Agree the downstream cost-center or location mapping with payroll. A familiar column name is not evidence that a warehouse or depot code is valid in Oracle, SAP or Workday.
